BlockBeats 消息，2 月 11 日，Bitwise 资产管理公司首席投资官 Matt Hougan 在接受 CNBC 采访时，表示「四年周期」是加密陷入熊市的原因，该现象在加密货币市场上已经出现过三次。「人们总想为当前比特币的回撤寻找一个单一的罪魁祸首。但并没有这样一个单一的元凶，」他周一在《ETF Edge》节目上表示。
Hougan 认为，投资者近期也倾向于将资金投向其他热门投资标的，包括黄金和人工智能股票，而非加密货币。「存在一些量子计算风险。市场也担心美联储主席提名人凯文·沃什，」他说，「在熊市中，所有这些因素都会被放大。」
但 Hougan 认为，比特币的疲软最终不应破坏专注于加密货币的 ETF 的发展势头。他认为当前主导加密市场的是一种「自我实现的预言」。
「表面之下有好消息，只是它们实现得比较慢。因此，我并不认为比特币的这种金融化从根本上改变了其稀缺性论点，」Hougan 说。「它可能会改变一些日内走势或短期交易动态，但不会改变一个基本事实：比特币总量只有 2100 万枚。所有衍生品需求最终都必须传导至现货市场。」
