任志刚指出，截至 2025 年香港约持有 2,560 亿美元美国国债，规模大过现在任何一个所谓的美元稳定币，因此香港金融方向很清晰，要保持联系汇率制度，在亚洲最活跃的美元市场是香港，若不让港元继续挂钩美元，迫使一个大买家抛售并不明智。
