Mars Finance reports that on April 17, analyst Anthony stated that shipping companies need to test the waters before rushing through the Strait of Hormuz, as they must assess the safety of actual passage and still coordinate with Iranian authorities.
Fahad Patel, captain of the UAE Sharaf Shipping Company, said: “Announcing the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire is a positive signal, but the market will remain cautiously optimistic rather than fully confident.”
“Although this move should help restore some vessel traffic and ease immediate energy flow pressures, the operating environment remains highly controlled and sensitive. It has not yet returned to normal trading conditions. The real test will be consistency—if safe passage can be maintained in the coming days without incidents, confidence will gradually rebuild.”(Jin10)
