Lately, I've seen people complain that cross-chain bridges are "too slow to confirm," and I just want to roll my eyes... Waiting a few more minutes at least can filter out a bunch of "temporary states": whether multi-signatures are genuinely signing, if only one or two people can make the decision, whether the oracle feed is acting up, whether the on-chain data is truly final or just pretending to be stable. Bridges, to put it simply, are just trading trust for speed. If you push them to be faster, they become more like a lottery.

And recently, the community has been arguing about the compliance boundaries of privacy coins/mixing coins. I can only say that the bridge side is more pragmatic: you think you're anonymous on the chain, but the backend logs, signature paths, and risk control lists are all aligned for you... So don’t pretend to be innocent when the time comes.

Right now, I’d rather be slower, wait until enough confirmations are reached before proceeding. Criticize all you want, but don’t really entrust your life to the "trust the team" approach. Let’s see what happens next.
