Mars Finance news: On April 7, Beijing time early today (April 7), U.S. President Trump held a press conference at the White House. At the meeting, Trump clearly pointed out the consequences Iran would face if it failed to reach an agreement before the deadline he set. Trump said, “We must reach an agreement that I can accept, and part of it will include: we require that oil and all goods can pass freely,” the U.S. military could destroy Iran’s bridges and power plants within 4 hours. Although attacking civilian infrastructure is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions, Trump said he was “absolutely not” worried about committing war crimes. “A whole country can be wiped out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night,” he said at a Monday White House press conference. He said Tehran’s counterproposal is “not good enough” for a ceasefire, even though he called it an “important step.”

In addition, Trump proposed the idea that the United States charge fees to ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz: “I’d rather have the United States collect tolls in the Strait of Hormuz than let Iran collect them.”

Regarding the details of the talks, Trump said Vice President Vance was involved in the dialogue. “I can tell you, on the other side, we have a positive, willing-to-participate negotiating party. They are negotiating, and we believe they are acting in good faith—we’ll know soon.”

Trump threatened to imprison reporters who published details about the U.S. military’s bold rescue of two pilots, accusing them of endangering the mission. Finally, he also lamented that he would like to take Iran’s oil for himself, but the American public wants to end the conflict before then.
