Indonesian verdict: 3 people accused of using cryptocurrencies to fund terrorism, on-chain information becomes a key piece of evidence

Mars Finance reports that, according to TRM Labs, the Indonesian government has convicted three individuals for financing terrorism using cryptocurrency. Law enforcement connected the relevant wallet addresses to an ISIS-associated network through on-chain tracking. One of the defendants transferred more than 49k USDT to an overseas trading platform through 15 transactions. Although the individuals did not directly carry out attacks, they were found to be the financial support layer for terrorism financing. TRM said this may be one of the first counterterrorism financing cases in Southeast Asia to complete convictions with blockchain evidence at its core.
