Techub News reports that Aave has announced the launch of the "Umbrella" security module, and the Aave contributor organization bgdlabs is ready to activate this module. Umbrella is meant to replace the existing security module, using aTokens as the mechanism for staking assets. In the event of bad debts, it will automatically destroy the staked aTokens to compensate for the losses, eliminating the need for governance intervention. When Umbrella is launched, the Aave DApp UI will feature a new tab named Umbrella. When staking with Umbrella, users will earn rewards for taking on slashing risks and contributing to the protocol's security, with these rewards determined by the Aave DAO and displayed in the Aave dapp UI.
