Gate News 消息，3 月 25 日，美联储理事巴尔（Michael Barr）表示，政策制定者可能需要将利率维持在稳定水平「一段时间」，以应对显著高于央行 2% 目标的通胀压力。巴尔表示，他支持美联储上周做出的连续第二次维持基准政策利率不变的决定。官员们指出，由于美以在伊朗的战争，经济不确定性已经加剧，同时上调了对今年通胀的预期。自中东冲突开始以来，油价显著上涨，这构成了推高通胀并抑制经济增长的风险。巴尔称，中东局势带来了「额外风险」。他指出，高油价往往会迅速传导至汽油价格，这对于中低收入家庭来说尤其痛苦。
