BlockBeats 消息，2 月 13 日，Sonic Labs 就近期有关 Andre Cronje 和 Sonic 网络的公开评论发表声明。2018 年某韩国团队为 Fantom（现更名为 Sonic）发起 ICO，因管理不善未能交付功能完善产品，大量资金被消耗殆尽，2018 年 6 月起 Andre Cronje 加入并重启 Fantom。Andre Cronje 加入时财库中非 FTM 资产不足 500 万美元，这些资产 2020 年至 2021 年间增长至九位数。
Sonic Labs 补充表示，Andre 并没有设计最初的 Fantom 代币经济模型，模型由最初的韩国团队在 2018 年创建的，后通过链上治理进行修改。Andre 同时并不单方面保管或控制 Sonic 发展基金。Andre 从未放弃过 Fantom/Sonic，设计了最初的技术，拓展了资金，并继续担任技术顾问，定期为技术团队提供指导。不存在任何资金挪用情况。
