Strongly support the six major actions to expand consumption in Shanghai, including promoting the trade-in of old for new and fostering brands for the silver hair economy.
On February 14th, Jinshi Data reported that the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office held a press conference to introduce key activities for expanding consumption in Shanghai by 2025. Liu Min, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, stated that the work of expanding consumption in 2025 will adhere to the dual-drive of ‘policy + activities’, focusing on supply-side innovation, consumer-side incentives, and consumer environment optimization. Leveraging the advantages of Shanghai as an international consumer center with a large market scale, rich consumption scenes, and concentrated high-end elements, the government will combine guidance with market mobilization to further enhance the precision and effectiveness of consumption expansion policies and measures. It will actively promote service consumption, bulk consumption, inbound consumption, and new consumption, vigorously develop the first-sale economy, silver economy, night economy, and ticket economy, and create a high-level pattern of expanding consumption where demand drives supply and supply creates demand. The work of expanding consumption in 2025 will be carried out around six major special actions: 1. Action to renew commodity consumption. 2. Action to improve service consumption quality. 3. Action to promote new consumption. 4. Action to create consumption scenes. 5. Action to create consumption festivals. 6. Action to optimize the consumption environment.
