With the demand for replacement machines, the PC shipments in Japan surged by nearly 50% in November.

On December 25th, Jinshi Data reported that according to the data released by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, the termination of support for Microsoft Windows 10 in October 2025 has driven the demand for replacement, resulting in a year-on-year increase of 47.5% in PC (desktop + laptop) shipments in November 2024, reaching 707,000 units, marking the fifth consecutive month of rise. Among them, laptop shipments accounted for about 90% of the total, with a year-on-year increase of 47.0% to 594,000 units, marking the fifth consecutive month of rise; desktop shipments surged by 50.1% to 113,000 units, marking the second consecutive month of rise.
