Baltic dry bulk freight index fall to six-month low

The Baltic Dry Index continues to fall, falling to its lowest level in six months on Thursday, as demand for all types of ships weakens. The Baltic Dry Index fell 82 points to 1594, the lowest level since April. The Capesize Index fell 230 points to 2322, the lowest level since early August. The average daily profit for Capesize vessels fell $1902 to $19259. The Panamax Index fell 21 points to 1288. The average daily profit for Panamax vessels fell $194 to $11591. The Supramax Index fell 3 points to 1254.
