PANews reported on October 9th that according to PCHOME, the Taiwan “Financial Supervisory Commission” plans to promote the virtual asset custody business. At present, three banks have expressed interest, and the first virtual asset custody business trial application is expected to appear in the first quarter of next year. It is reported that the service targets include virtual asset exchange, and even professional institutional investors. According to the relevant explanatory materials, Financial Institutions applying for the trial of virtual asset custody business in the future must specify the types of virtual assets to be custody, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, etc., and must also specify the service targets of the virtual asset custody business, such as virtual asset platforms, professional investors, or general investors.
