Tom Lee 的依據是從過去加密貨幣市場週期而推論出來，確實依照過去比特幣四年週期，今年初加密貨幣該迎來新一波漲勢，但去年已經很多分析師都表示，比特幣的「四年週期論」可能已經失效，從結果來看，目前幾乎可以肯定，加密貨幣在短期內很難再出現像樣的升勢，其中包括 Tom Lee 預計代幣化經濟落地而出現的 ETH 超級週期，隨著美國 CLARITY 法案遇阻力，看似也遙遙無期。
