Gold Ten Data, November 9th - Senate Majority Leader Schumer announced that bipartisan negotiations to end the federal government shutdown have made positive progress. Lawmakers are working to reach an agreement to temporarily reopen the government and have proposed three long-term funding bills for certain agencies. According to Republican Senators, they initially aimed to announce three full-year appropriations measures for Fiscal Year 2026 on Saturday, including agriculture, food and nutrition programs, military construction projects, veteran programs, and congressional operations funding. These proposals would fund these activities until September 30, 2026. However, by the end of this week’s workdays, the two parties had not reached an agreement to restart the government nor publicly released the full-year appropriations bills. The Senate will attempt negotiations again during a rare Sunday session.
