Ethereum Foundation announces Fusaka upgrade: mainnet scheduled to activate on December 3rd.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Ethereum Foundation has announced the Fusaka upgrade. The network upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Ethereum mainnet at slot 13,164,544, expected at 21:49:11 UTC on December 3, 2025. This upgrade introduces a fork with Blob Parameters Only (BPO) to safely expand blob throughput after PeerDAS activation. The main feature of Fusaka is PeerDAS (Peer Data Availability Sampling), which significantly increases blob throughput. Fusaka also includes optimizations to both the execution layer and the consensus layer to enhance Layer 1 performance and improve user experience.
