Jin10 data September 24, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung stated during a speech at the 80th United Nations General Assembly general debate on September 23 local time that South Korea will first cut off the “vicious cycle of unnecessary military tension and hostile actions” with North Korea, ending the era of hostility and confrontation on the Korean Peninsula. In his speech, Lee emphasized that it is urgent to promote the restoration of mutual trust and mutual respect between South Korea and North Korea. He reiterated that South Korea respects the North's system, will not seek any form of “absorption unification,” and has no intention of engaging in any hostile activities. On this basis, South Korea will first cut off the “vicious cycle of unnecessary military tension and hostile actions” between the South and the North.
