The founder of Gemini has clashed with the CFTC chairman candidate, and the White House has halted the confirmation vote.
Odaily News Trump-nominated CFTC chairman candidate, a16z global policy director Brian Quintenz, publicly posted a Signal chat screenshot with Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss on September 11 on social media, stating that his nomination was blocked by the two due to his refusal to commit to promoting cultural reform at the CFTC. The screenshot showed that the Winklevoss brothers demanded he prioritize “correcting Gemini's situation” and threatened to contact Trump directly. Subsequently, the White House requested the Senate to withdraw the confirmation vote for Quintenz. (Decrypt)
