The SEC has appointed two executives with a background in encryption, and the new director has previously criticized the regulation of encryption accomplices.

Gate News bot message, the SEC announced four senior personnel appointments on June 13. Among them, former global institutional market head Jamie Selway will assume the role of Director of Trading and Markets on June 17; Brian Daly will take on the role of Director of Investment Management on July 8, with expertise in crypto assets, blockchain, and TradFi. According to The Block, Brian Daly previously criticized the former government SAB 121 guidelines that restrict banks from providing accomplice services. Both of these newly appointed executives have backgrounds in crypto assets, and the appointments were made following the assumption of office by SEC Chairman Paul Atkins.
