The U.S. government has proposed its first spending cut plan, seeking to reclaim $9.4 billion.
Gate News bot message, on June 3 local time, the White House submitted a request to Congress to retract the approved $9.4 billion expenditure, most of which is intended for foreign aid.
The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, stated that he has officially received a request from the White House to revoke $9.4 billion in wasteful foreign aid expenditures for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and others. Mike Johnson said the House will take swift action. It is reported that after the proposal is submitted, Congress will have 45 days to address it.
