A researcher from Beijing Normal University published a study on the governance of Money Laundering related to Virtual Money.

The paper proposes three specific suggestions: First, by formulating the “Digital Property Law”, position virtual money as a non-financial virtual commodity and establish legitimate trading channels; Second, amend the “AML Law” to include virtual asset service providers in the category of specific non-financial institutions, making them undertake anti-money laundering obligations and regulating centralized trading; Third, strengthen the regulation of personal responsibility concerning DeFi trading and P2P trading.
