Expected Federal Reserve rate cuts this year to exceed expectations, with weak labor market being the main reason

Mars Finance reports that Swisscanto/ZKB Multi-Asset Solutions Head Roger Rügger stated in a report that the Federal Reserve’s rate cuts this year may exceed current expectations, mainly due to a potential weakening of the labor market. The Federal Reserve kept its policy rate unchanged this week and expects one rate cut this year. Rügger anticipates rate cuts in September and December, while the money market currently expects less than one rate cut this year.
