Ned Davis Research 首席主题策略师 Pat Tschosik 与分析师 Philippe Mouls 指出，根据对比特币过往下跌周期的分析，若当前熊市演变为全面「加密寒冬」，预计本轮下跌从峰值到谷底的跌幅将达到 70%-75%，即比特币价格可能最低跌至 31,000 美元。
比特币目前已较去年 10 月的峰值下跌 44%，若跌至 31,000 美元关口，意味着自当前水平再跌 55%。
Tschosik 与 Mouls 补充称，数据显示，追溯至 2011 年，历次比特币熊市的平均跌幅为 84%，平均持续 225 天，而自去年 10 月初比特币见顶以来，至今仅 129 天。
不过，两位分析师也指出，「寒冬」并非必然发生。与过去相比，当前比特币拥有更多机构买家，这可能为价格带来更大的稳定性。「观察历史数据会发现，寒冬/重大熊市的跌幅正随着时间的推移略有减缓，我们认为这一趋势将持续，」他们在谈及价格预测时表示。
