彭博行业研究策略师 Mike McGlone 在节目中直言，加密货币正在承受“特朗普效应”的反噬。他认为，2024年特朗普胜选并公开支持加密行业，引发了投机资金快速涌入，也加速了随后的泡沫破裂。“这是一轮典型的繁荣—萧条循环，”McGlone 表示。
本轮抛售还与美国宏观数据走弱有关。最新就业报告显示，美国上月新增岗位创下2009年以来最差纪录，超过10万人失业，主要股指同步下行。市场风险偏好迅速降温，加密资产首当其冲。
在结构层面，McGlone 指出，比特币面临来自大量山寨币的注意力争夺。与黄金不同，比特币并非唯一选择，数千万种代币不断分流资金。他举例称，Shiba Inu 仍有数十亿美元市值，Dogecoin 体量更大，这在熊市中加剧了抛压。
宏观政策不确定性同样放大了波动。特朗普提名 Kevin Warsh 出任下一任美联储主席的消息，引发市场对偏鹰派立场的担忧。Sygnum 银行首席投资官 Fabian Dori 也指出，全球流动性环境趋紧，风险资产承压。
此外，Dori 提到，比特币减半带来的四年周期效应正在发挥作用，部分长期持有者开始兑现收益。不过他仍维持长期看多观点，认为在恐慌释放后，加密市场将逐步恢复。
