Vo 提起诉讼，指控其在虚假投资项目中挪用约 4850 万美元资金。SEC 文件显示，Vo 及 VBit 共从约 6400 名投资者处募集超过 9560 万美元，并在宣传中虚假描述比特币挖矿业务模式及资金用途。SEC 指出，Vo 向投资者推介所谓“托管协议”，宣称可为普通投资者提供无需管理设备即可获得被动挖矿收益的解决方案，但实际上出售的托管协议数量远超公司真实运营的矿机规模。监管机构认为，Vo 明知或罔顾事实，仍持续向投资者作出误导性陈述。此外，SEC 还披露，Vo 将约 500 万美元转移给其家人和前配偶，并在 2021 年 11 月离开美国。SEC 对其提出未注册证券发行及欺诈指控。VBit 已于 2022 年被收购，相关挖矿业务目前已停止运营。（The Block）
