UN agency: About 1.3 million new HIV infections will be added in 2023

Die Golden Ten Data Nachrichten vom 27. November zeigen, dass am 1. Dezember der von der Weltgesundheitsorganisation gegründete Welt-Aids-Tag stattfindet. Kurz vor dem Welt-Aids-Tag veröffentlichte das Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS am 26. November einen Bericht, der zeigt, dass im Jahr 2023 weltweit 630.000 Menschen an mit AIDS zusammenhängenden Krankheiten sterben werden und etwa 1,3 Millionen neue HIV-Infizierte hinzukommen werden. Der Bericht zeigt, dass derzeit weltweit etwa 39,9 Millionen Menschen mit dem HIV-Virus infiziert sind, was im Vergleich zu 2022 einem Anstieg um 900.000 Menschen entspricht. Davon können 9,3 Millionen Menschen keine Behandlung erhalten.
