Powell finally showed some backbone. By convention, after Old Powell steps down as Fed Chair in May, he should resign from the Board of Governors as well, but if he doesn't actively leave, his gubernatorial term can last until January 28.
The Federal Reserve's FOMC meeting this Wednesday has a 99% chance of not cutting rates. All eyes will be on Powell's post-meeting press conference. Hope Old Powell doesn't make any retaliatory remarks.
