One side effect of using too large of position sizes when trading is it causes a reluctance to close at a loss. A small loss quickly turns into a big loss. "I can't close it now I'll wait for a bounce to close." .. and it never bounces and the loss keeps growing and growing.
I have no read on the markets right now for the first time in a long time. Just a cluster of chop with random knee jerk reactions based on global news events but no real sustained momentum in either direciton.
I haven't lost money trading this year but I feel like I've not been trading as well as I'd like to. I think stock market has been the better place to trade. In crypto I have a few losses in a row with a few break evens mixed in and still profitable year to date. I actually think I only had a couple profitable crypto trades in February but I also didn't take very many at all while trying to avoid the chop. Been tough markets this year. I hold a trade too long and it round-trips. I don't hold a trade long enough and it runs. It's been difficult to decide what will run and what will chop. Someti
