Janesen showed strength following news that it signed an HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) equipment supply contract with SK Hynix.

In an announcement, Janesen said it has signed a semiconductor backend process equipment supply contract related to HBM with SK Hynix, with a contract size of 60.01 billion won in Korean won. The contract value is equivalent to 10.57% of Janesen’s 2025 consolidated sales benchmark of 56.75724 billion Korean won.

The contract term is from April 15, 2026 to September 15, 2026. The company will supply the equipment through self-production, with payment terms of 90% upon delivery and 10% after completion of final acceptance.

According to data from the Korea Exchange, Janesen closed at 6,100 Korean won per share on the KOSDAQ market, up 160 won (2.69%) from the previous trading day. During the trading session, it briefly rose to 6,150 won.

The market tends to interpret this order as a signal related to SK Hynix’s trend of expanding its HBM investment, rather than as a simple one-time contract. SK Hynix plans to formally introduce hybrid bonding technology in the HBM4E mass production process starting in 2026. It is reported that Janesen previously supplied chip transfer equipment and vacuum bonding machines for SK Hynix’s pilot lines used for next-generation HBM production.

Previously, Janesen and SK Hynix executed similar contracts within the last three years. The scale of past supplies also showed an upward trend, such as 29.45 billion Korean won in 2018 and 76.78 billion Korean won in 2023. Some evaluations believe that this contract, as an extension of existing transaction relationships, is also meaningful.

Founded in 2000, Janesen is a specialized company in semiconductor backend process automation equipment, with design and manufacturing technology for testing/transfer equipment including HBM automation and EMI shielding.
