Saw an interesting breakdown of XRP holder distribution from John Squire today, and it really puts things in perspective. How many XRP holders are there exactly at each level? Well, the numbers show some pretty wild concentration.

So apparently if you have around 50k XRP, you're already in the top 1% of accounts. That's way lower than I thought honestly. To hit top 0.1%, you need about 369k tokens, and the top 0.01% are sitting on at least 5.7 million. Even just 2,486 XRP gets you into the top 10%, which is kind of crazy when you think about it.

What struck me most was the community reaction. People were pointing out that this isn't really about bragging rights in the top 1% - it's about recognizing that even moderate holdings put you in a strong position relative to most participants. Someone mentioned that a few thousand tokens could represent a meaningful stake in what they see as foundational infrastructure for global settlement.

The takeaway seems to be that XRP distribution is pretty concentrated, but the barrier to entry for being ahead of most holders is actually pretty low. If you're thinking long-term about this space, these numbers suggest you don't need a massive bag to have meaningful exposure.
