Coinbase's AI payment system joins the Linux Foundation, receiving support from companies like Google, Stripe, AWS, and others.

Golden Finance reports that on April 2, Coinbase’s AI-focused payment protocol x402 is moving toward becoming an open, standardized infrastructure under the Linux Foundation (a nonprofit organization dedicated to open-source software development). The protocol has formed its first governing body—the x402 Foundation—which includes members such as internet services company Cloudflare and payments giant Stripe, and has received support from many other industry leaders.
