CEX Survey: Over 75% of institutional investors plan to increase encryption asset allocation by 2025, according to a survey jointly released by CEX and research firm EY-Parthenon. More than 75% of institutional investors plan to increase their allocation to digital assets by 2025, with 59% of investors stating that they will allocate over 5% of their assets under management to encryption assets or related products. The survey was conducted in January 2025, surveying more than 350 institutional investors, when the price of Bitcoin was breaking through $100,000 and hitting a historical high. The survey shows that the main reason for institutional investors to increase their allocation of digital assets is "improved regulatory transparency". In addition, 60% of investors prefer to gain exposure to digital assets through registered tools such as ETFs. The survey also found that 74% of the surveyed investors hold one or more altcoins in addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, since the completion of the survey, the digital asset market has become more volatile, and the price of Bitcoin has recently fallen below $80,000.
