Victoria Police have charged a 'sophisticated criminal network' with a series of commercial burglaries, including the theft of 6 Crypto Assets ATMs and collectible cards worth tens of thousands of dollars since mid-January. Subsequent investigations by the police uncovered a stash of stolen items, including firearms, 100 car keys, a pill press machine, and power tools, with the cards ranging from a variety of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, and other collectibles.
Four men were arrested for their involvement in criminal activities. One of them is charged with multiple offenses, including 14 counts of stealing Crypto Assets ATMs and commercial game stores, as well as charges of handling stolen goods and being a prohibited person in possession of a large number of firearms for sale. He will appear in court for trial on May 2nd.
Another person is accused of five counts of commercial theft, three counts of motor vehicle theft, driving without a license, and possession of prohibited weapons, and will appear in court for trial on February 21. The other two men have been released pending further investigation. (Cointelegraph)
