U.S. President Trump posted on social media on the 6th that he had just held a meeting with major American defense contractors to discuss weapon production plans and schedules. The participating companies have agreed to quadruple the production of “premium-grade” weapons and to reach maximum capacity as quickly as possible. Trump stated that the work to expand weapon production actually began three months before the meeting, and the construction and mass production of several weapons factories are already progressing in tandem. He also revealed that the supply of medium and upper-medium caliber ammunition in the United States is “almost unlimited” and is being used in military operations against Iran. Even so, the U.S. has increased its orders for this level of ammunition. The closed-door meeting was attended by CEOs from seven companies, including Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon. (Xinhua)
