Kenyan police report that the flood disaster has currently caused at least 8 deaths in the country, with heavy property damage and thousands displaced. On the 6th evening, heavy rains triggered floods in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and its surrounding areas, leading to some road closures. Local police said that 2 people died from electrocution, and another 6 drowned. The floods also damaged more than 100 vehicles, and the inundated roads hindered rescue efforts. Other severely affected areas include western Kenya, coastal regions, and parts of the East African Rift Valley. The Kenyan government has launched emergency response measures to strengthen coordination and accelerate post-disaster reconstruction. The government urges the public to stay cautious on roads, avoid crossing rivers with rising water levels, and report flood-related issues to relevant authorities. (CCTV News)
