Li Wenji is under investigation! Three consecutive directors of Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have been dismissed one after another

Public information shows that Li Wenji was appointed as Director of the Zhuhai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission after being approved by the 41st meeting of the Ninth Zhuhai Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee in July 2021. According to the official website of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Li Wenji also concurrently serves as the Political Commissar of the People’s Armed Forces Department of the municipal directly affiliated units. As of the time of this report, his related appointment information has been removed.

In recent years, three major leaders of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have been investigated. According to information from “Honest Zhuhai” and “Nanyue Qingfeng Network”: In June 2024, Wu Aicun, former Party Secretary and Director of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Zhuhai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. He was later expelled from the Party, and suspected criminal issues were transferred to the procuratorate. Public reports show that Wu Aicun served as Director of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission from 2013 to 2017.

Just two months later, Li Congshan, who served as Director of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission from 2019 to 2021, was also investigated. In July 2024, “Honest Zhuhai” reported that Li Congshan was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Zhuhai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. In May 2025, he was expelled from the Party and dismissed from public office, and suspected criminal issues were transferred for legal review and prosecution.

Up to this point, following Wu Aicun and Li Congshan, Li Wenji, who succeeded as Director of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, has also been investigated. According to official information from the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Li Wenji’s most recent public activity was on March 17, when he attended the expanded meeting of the Party Committee of the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the 2025 annual municipal enterprise Party Committee Secretary work report and evaluation meeting, where he commented on issues one by one.
