Recently, social mining/points have become popular again. Seeing the badge progress bar also makes my heart race, like collecting stamps at the supermarket: just one more stamp and I want to buy a little more, but after buying too much, I realize I actually don’t need it… The same goes for on-chain; identity and badges are essentially just a series of records. Whether they’re valuable depends on whether there are real benefits behind them.

Lately, there’s also a surge of AI Agent automated interaction features, and the hype around storytelling is pretty intense. I’m actually more concerned about: what permissions does it really take from me, and whether it will treat my wallet as a “score-boosting tool.” I now split my positions into smaller parts; if I can do it manually, I will. If I have points, I have points. Don’t spend all your time and permissions just for a profile picture frame.
