Today I checked the mempool, and it really is a queueing scene: you click send, and it first goes to the "waiting area" to squeeze in, miners/packagers only pick the highest bid tickets first, and the regular tickets keep waiting... waiting until you think it's stuck, but actually it's just being jumped in line. What's more annoying is that when congestion hits, slippage, failed retries, gas fees become more painful, and in the end, they might expire and become invalid, a pointless hassle.

So recently I gave myself a word: stop. Stop checking the market data, stop rushing to chase, stop and take a look at whether the chain is really congested or if active addresses are just holding on. The macro discussions about rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and risk assets fluctuating wildly are also quite noisy; the more noise, the more I want to slow down, since there are always more people eager to get on the train. That's all for now.
