Just looked into which parts of Florida are actually the richest, and honestly, Miami and the surrounding areas totally dominate. Apparently, Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach region accounts for like half of the state's wealthiest suburbs - that's 12 out of 24 top spots. Pretty wild concentration.

Palm Beach is leading by a huge margin with average household income around $356k and typical home values hitting over $10 million. Then you've got Pinecrest at $312k average income, and the rest of the Miami area suburbs like Parkland, Coral Gables, and Palmetto Bay all making the top 5. Clearly if you're looking at the richest part of Florida, you're basically looking at the greater Miami metro.

Other metros get some spots too - Orlando has Lake Butler, Winter Park, and Doctor Phillips scattered in the list, while Tampa and Jacksonville bring a few suburbs each. But the wealth concentration in South Florida is just insane compared to everywhere else in the state.

The typical home values in these wealthiest neighborhoods range anywhere from $460k in some of the lower-ranked suburbs to over $10 million in Palm Beach. It's basically two different worlds depending on which affluent suburb you're talking about. If you're curious about where Florida's real money is concentrated, the answer is pretty clear - it's almost entirely in that Miami-Fort Lauderdale corridor.
