Modern Express News (Reporter Yang Xiaodong, Text/Photo) As spring grows stronger, everything comes to life. On March 13, 2026 Amazon Global Selling Cross-Border E-Commerce High-Quality Development Conference and the opening ceremony of the Amazon Nanjing office were successfully held in Nanjing. Modern Express News reporters learned that since establishing an office in Nanjing in 2020, Amazon Global Selling has helped nearly 4,000 enterprises in Nanjing and the metropolitan area “go overseas online.” With the completion of the new Nanjing office, Amazon will continue to deepen the integration of “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belts,” providing service support for enterprises among members of Jiangsu and the Nanjing metropolitan area, so that more enterprises can set sail for “going overseas.”

“Jiangsu, as an important high ground for cross-border e-commerce development nationwide, has seen continuous release of policy dividends in recent years.” Song Xiaojun, Vice President of Amazon China and Head of Seller Expansion for Amazon Global Selling China, said, “The in-depth integration of ‘cross-border e-commerce + industrial belts’ is the strategic focus of Amazon’s continued deep cultivation in Nanjing. Going forward, using the Nanjing office as our base, we will truly connect Amazon’s global resources with the industrial advantages of Nanjing and Jiangsu. Our goal is not only to help more local companies open stores and go overseas, but also to enable ‘Jiangsu-made’ to transform beautifully into ‘Jiangsu-created,’ making more local brands become a Chinese force that cannot be ignored on global consumers’ shelves.”

At the event site, the official launch of the acceleration empowerment for the industrial belts of the Nanjing metropolitan area marked a new stage in the cooperation between Nanjing and Amazon to empower industrial belts in depth. Reporters learned that since establishing an office in Nanjing in 2020, Amazon Global Selling has helped nearly 4,000 enterprises in Nanjing and the metropolitan area “go overseas online,” nurturing a large number of leading cross-border e-commerce enterprises and forming advantageous industrial belts such as fashion apparel, mechanical equipment, and consumer electronics. Taking this opportunity, Nanjing will carry out a series of innovative and pragmatic initiatives with Amazon in areas including implementing the metropolitan industrial belt acceleration empowerment plan, cultivating leading enterprises, and helping small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises “break through zero” to go overseas.

As a senior ODM/OEM contract manufacturer rooted in the industry for 25 years, Nanjing Tengya Group decided in 2025 to start its own brand export journey due to a downturn in traditional foreign trade B-end orders. “Traditional trade and cross-border e-commerce are very different. To do well in cross-border e-commerce, in the early stage we conducted in-depth market research and competitive analysis to precisely identify users’ pain points and redefine our products, so as to achieve ‘precision product selection,’” said Yuan Xiaogang, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Tengya Industrial Group. At present, the company mainly focuses on lawn mower robots suitable for European and American yards. With precise positioning, its first lawn garden robot was selected in the first month after going live on Amazon in the Best Seller list for Amazon’s specific niche category. In just half a year, it achieved sales of approximately 100 million yuan. Given the market’s strong seasonality, the company had already stocked 80% of its products for the whole year in overseas warehouses before January 2026, securing the advantage early.

In 2026, Nanjing will help Amazon’s 2026 strategy be fully implemented, providing the best policy support and service guarantees for cross-border sellers and service providers developing in Nanjing. By jointly implementing the “50+5000 Excellent Business New Business” plan, building an online overseas brand hall and a “2B+2C” dual product selection center, in the next 3 years, an additional 5,000 enterprises will connect to cross-border platforms such as Amazon to go online, and by 2026, there will be a breakthrough of more than 10,000 export-oriented enterprises. Standing on the new starting point of the trillion-level software industry, Nanjing is accelerating the build-out of the “1026” advanced manufacturing cluster. Through the “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belts” model, more enterprises will be able to “buy globally” and “sell globally” via cross-border e-commerce. At the same time, Nanjing will improve the ecosystem of “cross-border e-commerce + overseas carriers,” create cross-border themed parks such as “cross-border e-commerce + brand operations” and “cross-border e-commerce + characteristic industries,” and set up an overseas warehouse smart logistics platform to integrate into the national “1+N” overseas comprehensive service system, driving efficient overseas deployment of e-commerce cargo for the metropolitan area and the Yangtze River Delta.
