Iran claims the Strait of Hormuz is not open to the enemy

According to the latest reports from Agence France-Presse and Qatar’s Al Jazeera, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated on April 1st that the Strait of Hormuz will not be open to Iran’s “enemies.”
According to AFP, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is under the “firm, absolute” control of the IRGC Navy and will not be open to Iran’s “enemies.”
Earlier on April 1st, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media that Iran had “just requested a ceasefire” from the United States.
However, he stated that the U.S. would only “consider” if the Strait of Hormuz were open.
