The U.S. trade deficit in February widened less than expected, with both exports and imports increasing.

Data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce on Thursday showed that the goods and services trade deficit increased by 4.9% from the previous month to $57.3B. Economists surveyed by the institution predicted a median deficit close to $61B.

Exports grew by 4.2% in February, while imports increased by 4.3%.
