With spring break schedules clarified across many regions nationwide, this year’s spring travel market has entered an early booking peak. Travel platforms show that both domestic flight searches and bookings have increased. Data indicates that, as of now, from April 1 to 6, the number of domestic route flight tickets booked exceeded 2.25 million, up about 25% year over year. Over the past week, related flight searches and bookings increased by 2 times month over month. An industry insider said, “As many regions nationwide have already announced spring break, most areas generally adopt a continuous break arrangement of ‘a 3-day spring holiday + Qingming holiday,’ forming a 6-day long holiday. After the spring holiday policies were released in each place, searches for parent-child trips increased by more than 1.2 times. From April 1 to 6, among users purchasing tickets for scenic spots, the number of travelers aged 13 to 18 increased by 3.3 times.” Judging from ticket booking trends, the peak period for holiday travel is expected to move forward to April 1. The domestic popular destinations are mainly concentrated in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Sanya, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Wuhan, Zhuhai, and Changsha. ( CCTV Finance )
