Pure milk poured out as transparent liquid? Qinghai Gonghe County Market Supervision Bureau: Establishing an investigation team for a comprehensive investigation

Recently, a netizen from Nanjing, Jiangsu, posted a video claiming that a dairy product labeled “Pure Milk” on its packaging, when opened, did not pour out normal milk but a transparent, water-like, bitter-tasting liquid. The incident has attracted attention. On March 31, the Market Supervision Administration of Gonghe County, Qinghai Province, issued a “Situation Report”: “In response to media reports that ‘transparent liquid appeared inside the packaging of highland pure milk produced by Qinghai Snow Peak Yak Dairy Co., Ltd.,’ Gonghe County Market Supervision Administration attaches great importance, immediately formed an investigation team, stationed at the production enterprise to conduct a comprehensive investigation, and simultaneously initiated a recall and sealing of the same batch of products. Samples of the company’s pure milk series products were taken for testing, and a comprehensive inspection of all product categories was launched.” On April 1, staff from the Hainan Prefecture Market Supervision Administration in Qinghai told reporters that the involved production line has been shut down for rectification, and law enforcement officers have immediately gone to Jiangsu Province to verify the product flow, the entity’s identity, as well as distribution, inventory, and recall situations.
