The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on April 7 local time, saying that on April 6 they carried out strikes against a petrochemical complex in Iran. The facility is one of the few in Iran that can still be used to produce the materials required for making explosives and ballistic missiles. The IDF said that on April 6 it launched large-scale airstrikes across multiple regions in Iran, targeting Iran’s critical infrastructure. As part of the operation, the IDF attacked a petrochemical complex located in Shiraz, Iran, which Iranian armed forces use to produce nitric acid. The IDF said that the strike increased the strike intensity against Iran’s military capabilities. In addition, the IDF also struck a large ballistic missile launch site in northwestern Iran and killed several armed personnel. (CCTV News)
