Sinopec Economics: Cost and supply-demand support, pure benzene remains at a high level

As of April 3, the benchmark market’s closing price for East China pure benzene was 8,755 yuan per ton, up 200 yuan per ton from the previous trading day. On the previous trading day, geopolitical conditions remained unstable, crude oil rose again, and in addition, trading activity in Shandong was active. With leading refineries’ listed prices kept at high levels, pure benzene prices rebounded from the bottom. Looking ahead, the United States and Iran are unlikely to stop hostilities, and in addition, the number of reduced-load operations in Japanese, Korean, and domestic facilities has increased compared with March. It is expected that pure benzene supply in April will be tight, and in the short term, pure benzene prices still have a stronger outlook. (ZhuoChuang Information)
