The New York Times: Adam Back is the inventor of Bitcoin "Satoshi Nakamoto"
A report published by The New York Times revealed that Adam Back, the British cryptographer, is largely behind the invention of Bitcoin.
The report is based on an investigation that lasted over a year, examining thousands of old online posts, analyzing writing styles and digital correspondence, to uncover remarkable similarities between Back and "Satoshi Nakamoto," the pseudonym of Bitcoin's creator.
📍 Why is Adam Back considered a potential candidate?
Pioneer of digital cash: Years before Bitcoin's emergence, Back proposed a decentralized electronic monetary system, very similar to what Satoshi later invented.
Matching expertise: Both are experts in distributed computing and cryptography, and know how to maintain network security.
Disappearance pattern: Satoshi disappeared two years after developing Bitcoin, while Back appeared in discussions about the currency shortly afterward, in a striking manner.
Writing style match: Linguistic analysis showed that Back is the only one who shares Satoshi's style of sentence construction, spelling, and orthography.
🔹 Despite these pieces of evidence, Adam Back denied being Satoshi, which keeps the identity of Bitcoin's inventor an open mystery to this day.
