๐Ÿ”ฅIranian officials: If a ceasefire framework agreement is reached before the US-Iran meeting, the Strait of Hormuz may open on Thursday or Friday

On April 8, senior Iranian officials stated that if a ceasefire framework agreement is reached before the US-Iran meeting in Islamabad, Iran might open the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday or Friday. The reopening of the shipping lane will be restricted and require coordination with the Iranian military, and all ships will still need to obtain permission. Both Iranian and American delegations are expected to hold further negotiations in Islamabad on April 10 to reach a final agreement to resolve all disputes. On the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of "Strait of Hormuz resuming navigation this month" increased from 26% to 41% in about an hour.
