๐Ÿ”ฅVance: The US-Iran ceasefire is a "fragile truce," and preparations have been made for an "unusual economic leverage"

On April 8, Vice President Vance stated during an event in Hungary that the ceasefire between the US and Iran is a "fragile truce." He did not disclose further details, only saying that the agreement includes a ceasefire, advancing negotiations, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Vance said that President Trump has asked US negotiators responsible for talks with Iran to "negotiate in good faith," but also expressed that Trump "is eager to see progress." He also mentioned that the US is prepared to use an "unusual economic leverage," but Trump has instructed the US side to "hold off on using these measures for now." Vance stated that if Iran "negotiates in good faith," the US might reach an agreement, but "how the negotiations ultimately proceed depends on the Iranians." (CCTV News)
