On April 3, a reporter learned from the District Housing and Urban Renewal Bureau that in the first quarter (January to March) this year, the number of new commodity homes sold in Wuhan Economic Development Zone exceeded 1,000 units, up 35% year over year; the total sales area exceeded 110,000 square meters; and the sales value exceeded 1.3 billion yuan. The district’s housing market is showing a “small spring rally.”

The Zhaoshang · Manjing Lanyue project is located at the intersection of Dongfeng Avenue and Shenlong Avenue in Wuhan Economic Development Zone. It is the second residential project developed by China Merchants Shekou in Wuhan Economic Development Zone and the first high-end residential project of the “Lanyue” series in Wuhan. The project is adjacent to the Metro Line 3 Dongyang Avenue Station, and around it are hospitals, shopping districts, and schools including the Union Hospital Qucheng campus, Shenlong Primary School (Puzhen Campus), and the Wan da Commercial Plaza in the Economic Development Zone, with well-developed public service facilities.

On the afternoon of April 3, the reporter saw at the Zhaoshang · Manjing Lanyue project site that although it was a workday, residents coming to view the homes and inquire were coming in an endless stream.

“The project opened for sale on March 30. In just two days, March 30–31, it sold 156 units, with a sell-through rate of over 90%.” The project’s marketing head, Xu Jiangshan, introduced that as of April 3, the project had received more than 2,700 visiting customer groups, with a sales area of 17,100 square meters and sales revenue of 212 million yuan. “Zhaoshang · Manjing Lanyue is the first garden-style townhouse project in Wuhan Economic Development Zone, with a yield rate of 133%. It precisely matched Qucheng residents’ needs for ‘good housing.’”

“In the past, we lived in a walk-up apartment. Now we want to switch to an elevator apartment to improve our quality of life.” At the project site, Ms. Qi, who works at Dongfeng Company, reviewed the model on the spot, then promptly went with the sales consultant to view the model unit. After discussing it with her family, she signed a deal on the spot. “A 108-square-meter layout can achieve 4 bedrooms and 2 living rooms. The price, the policies, and the surrounding supporting facilities all fit.”

According to data from the District Housing and Urban Renewal Bureau, in the first quarter (January to March) this year, sales for real estate projects such as Zhaoshang · Wuhan Chengjian Future Center, Greentown · Liuyan Mingcui, and Vanke · Donghe Yinxang have all seen growth.

“In recent years, Wuhan Economic Development Zone has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of its automobile industry. Major projects have been put into operation one after another, and the resident population has risen from 520,000 to 735,000, laying a solid foundation for the real estate market to pick up speed.” A relevant official from the District Housing and Urban Renewal Bureau stated that by revitalizing existing inventory, optimizing incremental supply, and improving quality, the bureau will continuously optimize product supply, boost market development confidence, and help residents realize their “dream of living comfortably.”
